SawStop Table Saw Reviews
JSS-MCA Legacy Jobsite Saw
Woodworking experts like the JSS-MCA Legacy Jobsite saw.
What we like:
- Space-saving – it takes up very little space at the job site
- Mobility – it can be moved from site to site with ease
- Foldable – you can fold up the table and store it against a wall
- Adjustable – very easy to adjust the table
What we don’t like:
- Noise – the saw can be quite loud, up to 100 decibels of noise at 2” away from the blade
- Size – the saw’s table is small, with just 6 inches available in front of the blade.
It seems that mobility does come with its trade-offs. However, overall, the saw is a solid choice for any owner who needs to save space or who is constantly on the move.

What we like:
- Heavy-duty– it’s able to rip wood as strong as thick maple at a comfortable feed pace.
- Safety – We also like the safety of the SawStop blade. One user tried the hot dog test to see how effective the safety mechanism is. We are happy to report that the hot dog escaped with only a minor scratch.
SawStop PCS31230-TGP252 3-HP Professional Cabinet Saw Assembly with 52-Inch Professional T-Glide Fence System
What we like:
- Neat – The PCS31230-TGP252 3-HP Professional Cabinet Saw Assembly is excellent when it comes to keeping the sawdust from making a mess of your shop.
- Location of blade port – Because of its location on the blade guard, sawdust control is easier.
- Mobile base – this makes the table saw relatively easy to move around
What we don’t like;
- The rip fence, though tall, is a little bit on the short side. The saw’s miter gauge has just three stops.

About SawStop
SawStop is a privately-owned company based south of Portland, in Tualatin, Oregon. The company prides themselves on their saws’ ability to detect contact with human skin – and stop the blade within 5 milliseconds. The idea behind SawStop began with the question: “What if you could stop a saw blade and prevent a serious injury?” The technology to answer that question was introduced in 1999 by Dr. Steve Gass and the company was started by Dr. Gass and three friends. The saws have been on the market since 2004.
